Evaluating Existing Song Videos

Evaluating Music Videos

Beyoncé run the world
Within this video there were many quick cuts and a few jump cuts.
There were 5/6 cotume changes.
The video was a performance video and there were a lot of dancing involved.
There was one location used.
There was also an ironic message within the video and the women were rebelling against the men, however, they salute the men at the end.

Girls aloud Something new
Within this video there are many quick cuts.
This video is in a non-linear order, so it in not telling a story.
There are many close-up shots of their lips and faces and long shots of them in their bright orange dresses.
There are two costume changes for the each of the girls, one of the costumes consisted of a bright orange dress and the other consisted of casual ware.
The music video was both fast paced and slow motion in certain places.
The music video is a performace based video as it does not tell a story and there is some dancing.
Within the video there are words from the lyrics coming up on the screen with one of the band members in antonym hue (black and white).
There are two different types of scenes within the music video one with antonym hue background and  the girls in their orange dresses, and the other is them in there casual clothing with an antonym hue filter. This causes contrast between the two scenes, as one has a bright colour element and the other is black and white.
